What Shabbat teaches me

  1. Take off those headphones. Be a part of the world.

  2. Connect with your friends and family. You have very little time with them left.

  3. Sing your heart out. Your voice is good enough.

  4. Walk slower and listen. To breathe and feel the ground beneath your feet.

  5. Taste your food. It's entering your body, becoming a part of you.

  6. Sleep. You never get enough on any other days.

  7. Meditate. Find peace with yourself and your world.

  8. Pray with your community. You soul rejoices with God when you do.
